Kannur Cocktail
“Kannur Cocktail” is a very famous milkshake from Kannur, the northern district in Kerala. If you visit the Juice Corner at Caltex you will find what the hype is about. Anytime of day the place is crowded with around 6 blenders work continuously. I drank the first cocktail from my Uncle’s shop and couldn’t understand what fruit it is, and when my Uncle told me the recipe I was really surprised that these two ingredients made this milkshake.
It’s super easy recipe and I guarantee you, you will love this milkshake!

Kannur Cocktail
The recipe for the famous Kannur miilkshake. This is a must try!
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 3 nos Medium carrots peeled, cooked and cooled
- 50 gms Papaya ripe
- 2 scoops Vanilla ice-cream
- 5 tbsp Sugar
- ½ liter Frozen milk
- 2 tbsp Pomegranate kernels
- 2 tbsp Cashews
- 2 tbsp Raisins
Instructions
- Add the cooked carrots, papaya and sugar in a blender and make a smooth puree.
- Add the frozen milk and ice-cream and blend to a smooth milkshake.
- In a glass add little pomegranate kernels, cashews and raisins and pour the milkshake over it. Top it with pomegranate, cashews and raisins, repeat for all glasses. Serve chilled.
